Dst.49-Co.Springs- Security Staff/Nurses/Teachers- Ready for an Emergency

I had a great class of nurses, security staff and teachers today at SkyView  Middle School in District 49 in Colorado Springs. We did many “in the moment” scenarios to prepare them to respond to an emergency with a student, parent and/or staff member. I certified them in CPR, Philips AED, and First Aid. Our Play With Heart

Raising Coaches Awareness About Cardiac Arrest in Youth Athletes

I was at the Colorado High School Coaches Association conference over the last two days and was able to contact many of them with information on our new Play With Heart Foundation. This included material on cardiac screens, AED programs, and our custom Sport Medic CPR/AED/First Aid training. We will taking this statewide soon.

Training to Save Lives in the “Old West”

I was in Sheridan, Wy.l ast week training for Fidelity Petroleum/Exploration. Wyoming is still the “Old West” and  it is always fun to drive through the state. I saw tons of antelope and deer. I will be going back in Aug. to Wamsutter for more trainings. I will keep you posted!

Kids Aid at Boulder Rec. Center

I was at North Boulder Rec. Center today teaching my “Kids Aid” class to the summer camp kids. They did really well learning how to call 911, car safety, fire safety, poison safety, stranger safety, gun safety and other related topics.
